In 1995 Burke Roberts set out to make his first film. The 48 minute flic was made for 4000 dollars – mostly funded by unemployment checks. It was the beginning of the Bizzarmy experiment. 45 people lent a hand to this ambitious (or more accurately; outlandish) production.

After struggling for the better part of 2 years to completion - Jesus Rides Shotgun screened in the midnight movie section of Cannes 1997 (Cannes You Dig It’). Unarguably described as ahead of it’s time, the film left as many cheering as it did puking. (10 years later, aging like a whiskey.. it still is.)

This solidified Jesus Rides Shotgun’s cult following and it has since taken off on it’s own untraceable path - screening in underground and midnight venues all over the world.

(If you here about it playing in your town, please shoot us an email, as we are
constantly thrilled to hear about the where’s and how’s it has gotten to
where it has.)
